Our Stay Experience at Agenor Hotel Damascus

From the moment you enter the hotel in Bab Touma, the authentic Damascene character is immediately evident. A spacious courtyard centered around a traditional fountain is surrounded by decorated columns, colorful arches, wooden windows, and a glass ceiling that allows natural light to brighten the space. In the evening, the courtyard lighting creates a calm and romantic ambiance, enhanced by elegantly arranged tables and greenery that preserve the palace’s historical spirit.

Our suite was located on the third floor, overlooking the fountain courtyard. The view offered a beautiful blend of serene courtyard movement and intricate stone architecture. The suite featured a spacious layout with a royal design— a large hand-carved wooden canopy bed, sheer curtains adding elegance, oriental bedside lamps creating warmth at night, and a beautifully decorated wooden ceiling with geometric carvings that showcase authentic Damascene craftsmanship.

The bathroom combined modern design with oriental touches, featuring a marble sink with ambient lighting, a curved Damascene-style mirror, and carefully maintained amenities. We particularly appreciated the attention to small details such as carved wooden furniture, decorated doors, and crystal chandeliers that add a refined classical atmosphere.

One of the most charming aspects of the hotel is the room naming concept inspired by Damascene flowers—Lavender, Lilac, Lily, Narcissus, Jasmine, and suites like the Clock and Carnation—giving each room its own cultural identity.
