Our Stay at Albal Hotel Damascus
We’re pleased to share our experience staying at Albal Hotel Damascus, where we booked a Single Room easily through Hojozaty Online. The experience felt like staying in a refined Damascene home filled with history and authentic character.
From the moment you step inside, the striking black-and-white stone archway and traditional Damascus stone walls immediately capture your attention. Above, the hand-carved wooden ceiling, rich in color and intricate geometric details, beautifully reflects classic Syrian craftsmanship.
The room itself was comfortable and perfectly suited for one guest, featuring a cozy bed, handcrafted wooden furniture, and decorative framed mirrors that added an artistic touch. The stained glass panels above the doors and windows created warm lighting, especially in the evening, while heavy curtains enhanced privacy and quiet. Air conditioning was available, along with a television and a simple seating area furnished with traditional-style sofas that complemented the heritage ambiance.
The bathroom was modern and clean, finished with marble details, an elegant sink with a large mirror, and a practical shower area.
One of the most memorable moments of our stay was the evening gathering in the courtyard by the fountain. The inner courtyard was softly illuminated with warm yellow lighting, surrounded by wooden balconies and stained-glass windows. Sitting beside the central fountain, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of Old Damascus at night—the gentle sound of flowing water, the black-and-white patterned floors, and the lit fireplace that added extra warmth to the setting. It was a calm and perfect way to unwind after exploring Bab Touma and the nearby markets.
Overall, staying at Albal Hotel Damascus is more than just booking a room; it is a complete architectural and cultural experience where you truly live the details of a traditional Damascene house, combining authenticity, warmth, and a good level of comfort and services for the value offered.
